Kim Law office entire team is nothing but amazing. Originally for my case, I reached out to Frank Azar & associates but was turned after “they” realized that they could not get more money than they wanted. I felt stuck and disappointed. After finding the injury clinic and speaking with one of the case managers, Kim Law office was one of 3 business cards they recommended. I’m extremely glad I chose Kim’s office. During my time with this team, they were supportive, informative, and did everything possible to ensure that my case was treated fairly and received the appropriate compensation for my injuries. Kim and her team got me WAY more than I ever expected and I am so blessed for that because I was able to get the treatment I needed to be at 100% again today. I would 100% recommend the office to anyone who is looking for someone to fight for them the way it should be. Thank you Kim Law office!!

Would recommend 100% My wife, my son, and our 2 day old daughter were on our way home from the hospital when we were rear-ended at a traffic light by a distracted driver. Both my wife and I suffered severe injuries and by the grace of God both kids were unharmed. Kim Welch Law was there for us when we had a million things going on at the same time. They were there when we needed them and didn't bug us when we needed to be left alone. If anything like that were to happen again, I wouldn't hesitate to use Kim as our attorney.

I was in a car accident in 2022 and hired KWL to help me recoup medical expenses. She did an amazing job getting back what I spent and more, which was nice considering how much time I had to spend away from work. I would highly recommend Kim.

Mrs. Welch, Aftet two years you want to respond to me promptly after posting a review. When any other time I try to get a hold of you you were on vacation in Las Vegas. First of all for my son's car accidents you gave me power of attorney to represent my son and to sign his documents and also to communicate with you when I could never get a hold of you or you just had your legal assistant give an excuse to prolong the case. I didn't receive a Penny back from either of the accidents for either of our vehicles. I several consultations with accident attorneys after you withdrew from the case and the issue they informed me of was that Mrs Welch should have filed the correct documentation with the city to file the claim against the city vehicle for colliding into my son's car and the correct documentation was filed in the correct amount of time. I thought I had said something incorrect content that offend you, Mrs. Welsh about your issue with your son, I do not know exactly what happened to him. I just knew that he was in some form of accident, and I just mentioned that since he was in an accident that I hoped you would fight your best for my son, and you went totally off on me about that you helped your son, and you were a damn good lawyer, and you weren't lazy, and you don't take people's insurance money. You seem to be overwhelmed with emotion or maybe it was your conscience. I never accused you of anything, I don't even know you well enough Mrs.Welch, I've met with you maybe 3 times. I just asked you to do your best for my son since you had a son. Well, I deal with my son's medical issues due to these accidents on daily basis with him needing assistance with daily living on top of my medical issues. not once did you show me any sympathy to what I deal with, or do you even know the situation that my son goes through. Thank you for contacting me publicly after I gave a review of my opinion Mr. Kim Welch was my attorney, for a car wreck that my son I were injured in. I never received no money back for the vehicle that was totaled out. Kim offered my son I a very small settlement on the condition that I can never fight for additional injury settlement for other injuries to my arm. My arm is completely damaged for the rest of my life I'm in chronic pain every day. My son was in another car accident about a year later and his car was totaled, he wasn't at fault, he wasn't even ticketed but she refused to help us if she didn't want the case from the beginning, she should have said so. Nothing was ever done. there was very little communication between us if any at all. I called Mrs. Welch and I was very upset, because I there was always an excuse, we can't get the video. The investigator bailed on us, there was always some reason why nothing was progressing. She contacted my son and she terminated her self. After two Years down the line, we're stuck in a rut because she refused to do her job. Kim will still your money

A conversation with Kim Welch Law can help you evaluate your concerns and consider whether different representation may be appropriate.A Personal Approach to Reviewing Your Case

Attorney Kim Welch brings decades of legal experience and a background representing insurance companies to her personal injury practice.

When reviewing a potential transfer, Kim considers both the existing claim and the concerns that led you to seek another attorney. That includes the stage of the case, available information, upcoming deadlines, and whether the firm can take over representation effectively.

The consultation is an opportunity to discuss your expectations, ask about the firm’s approach, and understand the proposed next steps before making a decision.

Kim Welch Law serves personal injury clients in Henderson, Las Vegas, and Colorado Springs.

Moving Forward With Confidence in Your Representation

After an accident, your attention should be on your recovery. Uncertainty about your legal representation can make an already difficult experience more stressful.

A case may take time to resolve, and disagreements do not necessarily mean an attorney has handled it improperly. However, you should have meaningful information about your claim and an opportunity to discuss important decisions.

People consider changing personal injury lawyers for several reasons:

Communication concerns

Repeated unanswered messages, unclear updates, or difficulty arranging a conversation with the attorney responsible for the case.

Uncertainty about the case

Little explanation of the work completed, the reasons for delays, or the next steps in pursuing the claim.

Concerns about settlement

Feeling rushed to make a decision without understanding an offer, potential deductions, or the implications of settling.

A breakdown in confidence

Feeling unheard or no longer comfortable with the attorney-client relationship.

The Process of Changing Representation

Discuss Your Concerns

Start with a consultation about your accident, injuries, current representation, and reasons for considering a change. Share any upcoming hearings, settlement deadlines, or other time-sensitive matters.

Review the Case and Agreements

Before accepting a transfer, the firm reviews the information needed to evaluate the claim. Your existing representation agreement, potential fees and expenses, and the proposed terms of new representation also need attention.

Coordinate the Transition

If you and Kim Welch Law agree to move forward, the firm can help coordinate requests for case materials and the notices or court filings required for the transition. The next steps depend on the circumstances of your case.

A Result After a Change in Attorneys

Kim Welch Law represented the client in his claim against his own insurance company and resolved the matter for $150,000.

Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. Each case depends on its individual facts and circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions About Switching Personal Injury Lawyers

Generally, yes. Signing a representation agreement does not necessarily prevent you from changing attorneys. Your existing agreement, potential financial obligations, and the stage of your case must be reviewed before a transition.

You may have obligations for work already performed or expenses advanced. The answer depends on your agreement, applicable law, and the circumstances of the representation. Changing lawyers does not automatically eliminate those obligations. Review the financial arrangements with the prospective attorney before deciding to proceed.

A change may still be possible, but court procedures and scheduling requirements must be considered. A prospective replacement attorney needs to know about upcoming hearings, mediation, and trial dates before agreeing to take the case.

A new attorney needs time to obtain and review case materials. Whether that affects the timeline depends on the stage of your claim, approaching deadlines, and the work that remains. Changing attorneys does not restart or extend existing deadlines.

Yes. You can discuss your concerns with another attorney before deciding whether to make a change. A consultation gives you an opportunity to explore your options without committing to new representation.

There is no guarantee that a change in representation will produce a larger settlement or a faster resolution. The value and outcome of a claim depend on its facts, available evidence, insurance coverage, and other circumstances.

The firm must review the circumstances, check for conflicts, and determine whether it can provide appropriate representation. Requesting a consultation does not mean the firm has accepted your case.

Generally, you do not need your current lawyer’s permission to seek different representation. If your case is in court, however, the change must follow applicable court procedures. A prospective replacement attorney can explain how those requirements affect your case.

It is usually helpful to speak with a prospective replacement attorney first. Confirm whether the new firm can accept your case and discuss how the transition would be handled before ending your existing representation.

If a new firm accepts your case, it can request the materials needed to continue representation with your authorization. The transfer should address relevant records, correspondence, evidence, and upcoming deadlines. Questions about particular documents or outstanding fees may require additional review.

An existing settlement offer does not necessarily prevent a change in attorneys. Tell the prospective lawyer about the offer, any response deadline, and whether you have already accepted it or signed documents. Those details may affect the available options.

You can explore different representation if you are dissatisfied with how your case is handled. Case managers and paralegals commonly assist with injury claims, but their involvement does not replace the attorney’s responsibility to supervise the work and provide legal guidance.

A family member can help make an initial inquiry or organize information. The firm will need to confirm who the client is, obtain appropriate authorization, and address confidentiality before discussing private case details with anyone else.

No. An initial inquiry or consultation does not, by itself, mean the firm has agreed to represent you. The firm must confirm acceptance and establish the terms of representation. Until then, do not assume Kim Welch Law is handling deadlines or taking action on your behalf.

That depends on where the claim must be handled and whether the firm is authorized and able to assist. Provide the accident location, where any lawsuit is pending, and information about your current attorney when requesting a consultation.

Preparing for Your Consultation

Bring the following information if it is available:

    • Your current attorney’s representation agreement.

    • The date and basic details of your accident.

    • Recent correspondence about your claim.

    • Any settlement offers.

    • Court documents and upcoming deadlines.

You can request a consultation even if you do not have every document. Let the firm know about any approaching deadlines when you first make contact.

Take the Next Step With Clearer Information

You do not have to decide whether to change attorneys without first discussing your concerns.

Contact Kim Welch Law for a free personal injury consultation and find out whether the firm may be able to help with your existing claim.
